Michael with “DON’T WAKE THE BABY!!” – $500 prize winner
Michael used a simple integration with Home Assistant to turn a smart hallway light on whenever the mat detected his 6-month-old was in the crib. This let his 5-year-old know to keep his loud stomping to a minimum when going down the hallway. This submission was unique, easy to implement, and made a big difference in helping keep the baby asleep. A rested baby is a happy baby!

Travis with “Dog Door Design” – $250 prize winner
Travis uses a TrampleTek Blue mat with his automatic dog door. This allows the dogs to unlock the door when they step on the mat, but only if a toggle button on his Home Assistant dashboard is activated. Definitely a unique use case, with a relatively simple integration since both the dog door and the TTB mat are in Home Assistant, and it provides peace of mind by giving easy control over when the dogs can come and go.

Jim with “Custom Security Integration” – $125 prize winner
Jim wanted to use TrampleTek Blue to monitor entries into the house from the garage, and he needed to integrate TTB into his existing custom security setup. Jim re-flashed the TTB mat with Tasmota so it would better integrate into his MQTT and Node-Red setup! Though not the easiest integration path, it was a very interesting use case, and it sounds like it’s working great!
